As part of the investigation into the Delhi blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches across multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. The raids began early in the morning, with officials carrying out searches at a trader’s residence in Handwara. Authorities revealed that the individual had links with persons who supplied weapons to the accused in the case. During the operation, several crucial documents and digital devices were seized for further examination.
Officials also stated that earlier this month, similar searches were conducted in Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Baramulla, and Kupwara districts. Meanwhile, large-scale protests in Jammu and Kashmir following the death of Iran’s former Supreme Leader caused disruptions to the investigation. In a significant development, two more individuals involved in supplying weapons to suicide bomber Umar Nabi have been arrested. Identified as sleeper cell operatives, they were allegedly passing information to terror groups. With these arrests, the total number of accused in the case has risen to 11.
