Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh has called on MLAs to come forward for the development of government schools. He suggested that each MLA should adopt at least two government schools for the mandal in his constituency and work on their development. He hoped that steps should be taken to increase the number of students in schools and that at least one school in each constituency should be filled with a thousand students.
Lokesh asked MLAs to visit a government school every week and submit a report on the facilities and attendance conditions there. He assured that if such feedback is received, the problems will be resolved immediately. The minister said that strengthening the education system is not the responsibility of the minister or officials alone, but long-term changes are possible only if public representatives and officials work together.
