A large-scale surrender of Maoists has taken place before the state police, marking a significant development in the ongoing security operations. Reports indicate that more than 30 Maoists from Chhattisgarh initially surrendered, with the total number later rising to 47 individuals. Along with them, a substantial cache of weapons, totaling 34 arms, was also handed over to authorities.
The Director General of Police Shivadhar Reddy is expected to present the details of this major surrender before the media today. Security officials view this as a significant breakthrough in anti-Maoist operations, as coordinated efforts continue to bring armed groups into the mainstream through surrender and rehabilitation initiatives.
