Former minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao criticized the Congress government in Telangana for failing to provide timely support to farmers. Although Chief Minister Revanth Reddy promised to deposit the farmer welfare funds into accounts after municipal elections, the funds have still not been released. Harish Rao stated that public money is being spent on leaders’ luxuries and contractor commissions instead of farmers’ needs.
He further highlighted that prior to elections, promises of 15,000 rupees per acre were made, but funds for two consecutive seasons of farmer welfare remain unavailable. Farmers are still waiting for the support, reflecting the alleged false promises and political manipulation by the Congress party.
