Centre Releases Funds for Telangana

The Central Government has released the third installment of 15th Finance Commission funds for Telangana. In this phase, ₹387.53 crores have been allocated. With this, the total funds released to the state have reached ₹1034.42 crores. The pending grants are being cleared after the completion of gram panchayat elections.

Reports indicate that around ₹2000 crores are still due to Telangana. State Minister Seethakka has requested the Centre to release the remaining funds at the earliest.

Departments have been instructed to use the released funds for improving basic infrastructure in villages and clearing pending bills.
