Centre Announces Padma Awards; CM Revanth Reddy Congratulates Awardees!

The Central Government has announced the prestigious Padma Awards for this year. As part of the announcement, 113 individuals were selected for the Padma Shri, while five personalities will receive the Padma Vibhushan and 13 others the Padma Bhushan awards. In the sports category, Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma and Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur were honoured with the Padma Shri.

Telangana secured a total of seven Padma Shri awards, while Andhra Pradesh also received several honours. From Andhra Pradesh, producer Murali Mohan, actor Rajendra Prasad, Garimella Balakrishna Prasad, and Vempati Kutumba Sastry were awarded the Padma Shri. From Telangana, Vijay Anand Reddy, Gaddamanu Chandramouli, and Deepika Reddy received Padma Shri honours. In the arts category, Maganti Murali Mohan was awarded Padma Shri.

Veteran Hindi film actor Dharmendra was conferred the Padma Vibhushan, while Malayalam cinema icon Mammootty received the Padma Bhushan. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated all Padma awardees from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, stating that their dedication and lifelong service in social, cultural, scientific, and medical fields earned them national recognition.
