Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is maintaining strong momentum at the global box office. The epic adventure is projected to collect $84.5 million in its second weekend across North America, showing a healthy 32% decline from its blockbuster $124 million opening weekend. With this performance, the film’s domestic earnings are expected to reach approximately $283 million by Sunday.

The Odyssey also delivered the biggest worldwide opening of Nolan’s career with $264.1 million, surpassing The Dark Knight Rises. Trade analysts believe the film could eventually challenge the $1 billion global lifetime collection of The Dark Knight Rises if its current pace continues. The adaptation of Homer’s legendary epic has emerged as one of the biggest cinematic successes of the year.
