Sonarika Bhadoria Defends Katrina Kaif Against Postpartum Body-Shaming

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has faced criticism on social media over changes in her body after childbirth. Actress Sonarika Bhadoria has come out in support of Katrina, saying that questioning a woman’s appearance or weight after pregnancy is inappropriate. She stressed that giving birth brings significant physical and emotional changes, and every woman takes a different amount of time to recover. Instead of focusing on weight or appearance, people should recognise the challenges women go through during childbirth and motherhood.

Sonarika further said that the issue is not limited to Katrina, as many women face similar comments and trolling after becoming mothers. She urged women not to let social media remarks make them feel inferior and said they do not owe anyone an explanation about their bodies. She also called for greater sensitivity towards women’s emotional well-being after childbirth, noting that seemingly casual online comments can be hurtful. Sonarika made her Telugu film debut with Jadugadu in 2011 and later appeared in films including Speedunnodu and Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam. She has also worked in Hindi films and television.
