Nandi Awards to Be Presented by December 2026.. AP Government Announces Plan!

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a detailed plan for the revival and presentation of the Nandi Film and Television Awards. According to FDC Chairman P. Bharat Bhushan, the government has decided to present the previously announced Nandi Film and Television Awards for the period from 2012 to 2016. For the years 2017 to 2024, four awards will be presented for each year, including two production awards and two special jury awards. Awards for 2025 will also be presented. The Nandi Film and National Film Awards ceremonies are planned to be held in Amaravati or Vijayawada, while the Nandi Television Awards will be conducted in Tirupati.

The government has planned to complete all the award presentations by December 2026. Committees for selecting the Nandi Film and Television Awards will be constituted in October, followed by the selection process in November and the award ceremonies in December. The Film Awards will include 46 categories, covering areas such as best performance, acting, supporting roles, children’s films, documentaries and other film-related categories. National Film Awards will also carry cash prizes, while the Television Awards will cover 48 categories across telefilms, TV features, serials, children’s programmes, documentaries and other segments. Award recipients will receive Nandi mementos in different categories, certificates and cash prizes.
