Jaya Bachchan Clashes With Reporter During Protest

Samajwadi Party Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan was involved in a heated exchange with a News18 India reporter on Tuesday during the INDIA bloc’s protest march in New Delhi. Opposition MPs marched from Parliament towards the Election Commission headquarters over concerns surrounding the revision of electoral rolls.

During the interaction, the reporter asked Bachchan about a protest placard carrying a message comparing the Chief Election Commissioner’s office with a Bharatiya Janata Party office. Bachchan pushed the reporter’s microphone away and accused him of twisting her question. She told him not to distort the matter and asked him to explain what he was asking. The reporter responded that he had only asked her to comment on what was written on the placard and had not changed the question.
