Leading production house KVN Productions, known for backing large-scale South Indian films, is currently busy with two prestigious projects — “Toxic” starring Yash and “Jana Nayagan” featuring Thalapathy Vijay. Both films, mounted on massive budgets, have already faced multiple delays and missed their initially planned release schedules. However, the recent announcement of “Toxic” release date has brought excitement among fans, while uncertainty still surrounds the release timeline of Vijay’s film, sparking discussions across the film industry.
Another interesting development regarding these projects is the delay in finalizing digital streaming deals. Despite the growing importance of OTT agreements for big-budget films, neither “Toxic” nor “Jana Nayagan” has locked its digital rights so far. Trade analysts suggest this has become a major challenge for the makers. While “Toxic” is moving ahead as per its revised release plan, “Jana Nayagan” is expected to make further announcements only after securing a satisfactory OTT deal. With both films from the same production house facing similar hurdles, there is increasing curiosity about how the digital market dynamics will unfold.
