Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu has expressed concern over the growing trend of negative campaigns targeting films on social media, citing the recent criticism surrounding Ram Charan’s blockbuster film ‘Peddi’. In a recent interview, he stated that while everyone has the right to express their opinions, deliberately attempting to damage a film’s success through organized negativity is unfair. He emphasized that constructive criticism and malicious campaigns are entirely different and should not be confused.
Jagapathi Babu highlighted that a film is the result of the hard work of hundreds of people, including producers, technicians, artists, and workers who invest months of effort and significant financial resources. He noted that ‘Peddi’ is not just a commercial entertainer but a film backed by a strong story and sincere dedication from the entire team. The actor also pointed out that social media trolling has become a serious challenge for the film industry, with some individuals allegedly trying to gain attention or benefits by spreading negativity. His remarks have sparked discussion about the growing influence of online campaigns on the success of films.
