Dance Association President Sumalatha Attacked

Tensions reportedly escalated during the general body meeting of the Telugu Film and TV Dancers and Dance Directors Association. Association president V. V. Sumalatha Devi lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills Police, alleging that some individuals physically assaulted her and threatened to kill her. According to her complaint, the incident took place during the association’s general body meeting at Raghava Guest House in Indiranagar.

Sumalatha Devi alleged that some individuals had planned to disrupt the meeting and illegally take away important association records. She further stated that she was threatened with serious consequences if she did not resign from the president’s post. Expressing concern for her safety and that of her family members, she requested police protection and urged the authorities to examine CCTV footage to establish the facts of the incident.
