Actor Kiran Abbavaram, who entered the film industry without a film background, appears to be strengthening his market with a series of successful outings. Despite facing a few setbacks earlier in his career, he has continued to move forward and build his identity in Telugu cinema. Reports that his previous film, Chennai Love Story, collected around ₹50 crore have raised expectations for his next project. His upcoming film, Reality, in which he plays the lead role and also takes charge of direction, is reportedly gearing up for release during the Christmas season despite competition from other major films.
According to industry reports, the theatrical rights for Reality have reportedly been sold for ₹16 crore. Four distributors are said to have competed for the deal, with one eventually agreeing to the price sought by the producer. Unlike films backed by prominent production houses or featuring large ensembles, Reality is reportedly relying heavily on Kiran Abbavaram’s growing popularity. The film’s other distribution and broadcast rights are also said to have attracted encouraging offers. However, these business figures have not been officially confirmed. The film’s actual performance will become clear only after its theatrical release.
