

Telangana is positioning itself as a global hub for life sciences innovation by leveraging the rapid transformations taking place in the healthcare sector, said Duddilla Sridhar Babu. He inaugurated the Phase-3 Biotech Park housing the first oncology manufacturing facility set up by Sai Life Sciences at Karakapetla village in Markook mandal of Siddipet district, along with Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy. The facility has been established with an investment of ₹800 crore.
Speaking at the event, he stated that the government is committed to transforming Telangana into a role model for industrial growth in India. The plant will manufacture oral oncology medicines, sterilized liquids, powders, and soft gel capsules, contributing to cancer treatment solutions. The project is expected to generate employment for around 500 people. He also highlighted plans to develop the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in Zaheerabad into a major manufacturing hub and expressed hope that a breakthrough molecule for life-saving vaccines and antibiotics will emerge from Telangana.
