Victims of the Karur incident in Tamil Nadu have received relief from the Supreme Court. The apex court has stayed the operation of the Madras High Court order that had held the jobs provided to the victims by the TVK government to be invalid. The Supreme Court's intervention has brought temporary relief to the affected families, who were facing uncertainty over their employment.
The government had provided jobs to families affected by the Karur incident as part of its rehabilitation efforts. However, the Madras High Court had ruled that the appointments were not valid under the applicable rules. The affected parties subsequently approached the Supreme Court, which stayed the High Court's order. The development has provided relief to the Karur victims who were concerned about losing their jobs.
