The Telangana Government has reportedly conducted a high-level review regarding the role of the State Bank of India (SBI) in the Raidurgam land issue. Government sources are said to be examining various aspects of the matter and have expressed suspicion that there could be a political angle behind the developments related to the land dispute.
According to sources, concerns have also been raised over the possible influence of political rivals on SBI Chairman and Managing Director Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, who hails from Telangana. The state government is reportedly considering submitting complaints to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the Union Finance Ministry, and the Prime Minister regarding SBI’s handling of the issue. An official statement on the matter is still awaited.
