Rahul to raise Great Nicobar issue in Parliament

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday alleged that the Great Nicobar Project at Campbell Bay in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is one of the biggest scams against India’s natural and tribal heritage. He said the project would require the cutting down of lakhs of trees across 160 square kilometres, calling it destruction in the name of development.

Rahul stated that he will raise the issue in Parliament. He also visited Campbell Bay in Nicobar district on Tuesday to meet tribal leaders opposing the project and shared details of his visit on social media.
