Key Elevation for Telangana High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, for elevation as a judge of the Supreme Court. The recommendation was made at the Collegium meeting held on September 28, along with the names of Gujarat High Court Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal and Delhi High Court Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya. Justice Singh has been serving as the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court since July 2025.

Meanwhile, there is no mention in the latest official Collegium resolution of a recommendation to transfer Justice T. Vinod Kumar back to the Telangana High Court. Justice Vinod Kumar was transferred from the Telangana High Court to the Madras High Court in 2025 following a Collegium recommendation. Therefore, the claim about his return to Telangana could not be independently confirmed from the latest official record.
