

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the national flag is a matter of pride for the country and urged citizens to participate enthusiastically in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. He described the Tricolour as a constant source of inspiration and called upon people to hoist the national flag at their homes and reaffirm their collective commitment to building a developed India. The campaign has been conducted since 2022 around Independence Day.
Modi also paid tribute to the courage of those who participated in the Quit India Movement, saying their contribution would continue to inspire every Indian. He recalled that the movement, launched under Mahatma Gandhi’s leadership on August 9, 1942, gave a decisive impetus to India’s freedom struggle. Meanwhile, Kerala Health Minister K. Muraleedharan and Congress MP Rajmohan Unnithan said Vande Mataram would not be sung in full in the state, with only its first two stanzas being sung as in the past.
