Home Minister Anitha Reviews Situation with Collectors and SPs

Andhra Pradesh Home and Disaster Management Minister Vangalapudi Anitha reviewed the state’s preparedness for the forecast of heavy rainfall with district collectors, Superintendents of Police and senior officials. She directed authorities in vulnerable districts to remain alert and take precautionary measures in advance. The weather system over the Bay of Bengal is moving towards the Andhra Pradesh–Odisha coast, raising the possibility of heavy rainfall in the region.

Minister Anitha also directed officials to coordinate with their counterparts in Odisha as heavy rainfall there could lead to rising water levels in the Vamsadhara and Nagavali rivers. She instructed authorities to keep SDRF and NDRF teams ready and ensure all necessary preventive measures are taken to avoid inconvenience to the public and respond promptly to any emergency.
