Currency-Decorated Lord Ganesha Attracts Visitors at Vasavi Market in Nandigama, NTR District

A Lord Ganesha idol adorned with currency notes has become a major attraction at Vasavi Market in Nandigama, NTR district. The idol has been decorated with currency notes worth around ₹4 crore under the arrangements of the Ganesh Utsav Committee. The committee has been organising the Ganesh idol at Vasavi Market for the past 44 years and chose the unique currency-note decoration this year.

According to the committee members, the money used for the decoration was collected from traders in the market. They said the entire amount would be returned to the respective traders the day after the Ganesh festivities conclude. The uniquely decorated idol has attracted the attention of devotees and locals visiting the market.
