Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Deepke has clarified that his organization has no intention of contesting elections. Speaking to the media in Nagpur on Tuesday, Deepke said the party’s primary objective is to raise public issues and fight for citizens’ rights rather than participate in electoral politics. He was in the city to take part in a protest demanding the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Responding to questions about whether the party would field candidates in future elections, Deepke dismissed the idea and questioned the notion that every movement must enter electoral politics. He stated that fighting for public rights and raising awareness on key issues can be achieved without contesting elections, emphasizing that the organization’s focus remains on advocacy and public engagement.
