AP Government School Alumnus Who Hacked OpenAI (ChatGPT)

Mohan Peddapati, an alumnus of a government school in Andhra Pradesh, is reportedly among the three Indian co-founders of US-based Hackathon AI, along with Harsh Jaiswal and Rahul Maini. Peddapati studied at Sampathnagar Government High School in Kondagunturu, Rajanagaram mandal, East Godavari district, from 2013 to 2015. He later completed his B.Tech at RGUKT Nuzvid before pursuing higher education in the United States.

Peddapati is said to specialise in web exploitation, source-code review and mobile application security. According to the claims circulating about the team, the researchers used AI tools as part of an ethical-hacking exercise to identify vulnerabilities in an OpenAI system. The team reportedly used Claude AI and around ₹2.5 lakh worth of AI tokens during a 72-hour exercise.
