₹30 Crore Jackpot Won by an Unknown Winner in Kerala Onam Bumper Lottery

The results of Kerala’s Onam bumper lottery have been announced, with ticket number TL 360615 winning the first prize of ₹30 crore. The identity of the winner is yet to be established. The winning ticket was sold by Muthu Lottery Agency in Kannur, with its operator Aneesh Taliparamba having sold the ticket to the winner. Interestingly, the first prize in the previous Christmas-New Year bumper lottery also went to a ticket sold in Taliparamba. Aneesh has been in the lottery ticket business for the past 18 years.

The Onam bumper lottery’s second prize will be awarded to 20 winners, with each receiving ₹1 crore. After commission, taxes and other deductions, the first-prize winner is expected to receive ₹16.47 crore in their bank account. For the first time in the history of Kerala’s lottery, all 90 lakh Onam bumper tickets printed for the draw were sold. The sales generated a turnover of around ₹450 crore, while the state government earned more than ₹241.20 crore in revenue through the ticket sales.
