Indian Markets End Higher

Indian equity markets opened on a flat note on Friday but gained momentum during the session and closed higher. The Sensex rose 315.20 points, or 0.43%, to finish at 73,895.74, while the Nifty gained 77.40 points, or 0.34%, to settle at 23,140.50.

Whirlpool of India Ltd, Kaynes Technology India Ltd and HEG Advanced Materials Ltd emerged among the top gainers. On the other hand, Ola Electric Mobility Ltd, JK Cement Ltd and Max Healthcare Institute Ltd featured among the major laggards. Overall, the domestic benchmarks ended the session in positive territory.
