Google has launched the Fitbit Air in India, entering the growing segment of screenless fitness trackers. Priced at ₹13,999, the device will be available from October 2. Unlike conventional smartwatches, Fitbit Air does not have a display or notifications on the wrist. Instead, it focuses on health and fitness tracking, including steps, workouts, heart rate, heart rhythm, sleep stages and duration. The device automatically detects several activities and syncs the collected information with the Google Health app.
A key feature of Fitbit Air is its integration with Google Health Coach, which uses Gemini to analyse health and fitness data and provide personalised insights and guidance. Google says the tracker can deliver up to seven days of battery life, while a five-minute fast charge can provide up to a day of use. The device is available in four colour options — Obsidian, Berry, Lavender and Fog — and comes with a three-month Google Health Premium trial. The screenless design is aimed at users who want continuous health tracking without the distractions associated with smartwatch displays and notifications.
