Google has announced a major expansion of its Quick Share feature, making file sharing between Android devices and iPhones easier than ever. Initially introduced last year with support limited to the Google Pixel 10 series, the feature is now being rolled out to smartphones from brands including Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Honor. The announcement was made during the Android Show ahead of the upcoming Google I/O 2026 event.
Google stated that the updated Quick Share feature will offer improved compatibility with Apple’s AirDrop, allowing smoother cross-platform file transfers. Devices currently supporting the feature include the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, Google Pixel 10 lineup, Google Pixel 9 series, Google Pixel 8a, Oppo Find X9 series, Oppo Find N6, and Vivo X300 Ultra. Industry experts believe the move could significantly improve user convenience by simplifying wireless sharing between Android and iPhone ecosystems.
