Indian cricket star Virat Kohli praised the fitness levels of hockey players during the ‘RCB Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit’ held in Bengaluru. He stated that the fitness of Indian cricketers is not even 15% compared to hockey players. Kohli highlighted that hockey players possess exceptional physical endurance and work extremely hard.
He also said that cricket receives more attention in India, leading to lesser focus on other sports. Kohli emphasized that fitness should be seen as a basic requirement for athletes. Reacting to his comments, Indian hockey captain Harmanpreet Singh said that such appreciation from Kohli serves as a great motivation for the team.
