The BCCI has taken serious note of increasing protocol violations during the ongoing IPL season and has issued strict guidelines to all teams. Players and staff have been advised to remain alert against threats such as honeytrap attempts. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has sent official notices to all franchises.
It has been clearly instructed that no unauthorized visitors are allowed in player hotel rooms without team manager approval, and all guest details must be recorded. The board has warned of strict actions including fines, suspension, and disqualification for violations. Police cases may also be filed if security norms are breached.
