US President Donald Trump made significant remarks on the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war, stating that both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are willing to end the conflict. He revealed that he recently held separate phone conversations with both leaders. Trump said the issue would be a key topic at the upcoming NATO summit in Türkiye, reiterating his claim that he had previously helped stop multiple wars, including preventing escalation between India and Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv using ballistic missiles and drones on Monday. Officials confirmed that at least 21 people were killed and more than 70 injured in the attack. Russia’s Defence Ministry stated that the strikes were in retaliation for recent Ukrainian attacks on its energy infrastructure, further intensifying the prolonged conflict.
