Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan urged people to support alliance candidates in the upcoming local body elections. He called on alliance leaders to recognise the sacrifices of party workers, leaders and women activists by ensuring fair representation in local institutions. Speaking after launching the Adavithalli Bata 2.0 programme at Kakavada village in the Rampachodavaram constituency of Polavaram district, he said the initiative aims to improve road connectivity and access to education, healthcare, employment and transport in tribal settlements. Under the programme, 2,569 works worth ₹2,052 crore have been sanctioned, covering 1,976 kilometres of roads and 45 bridges to serve 1,341 tribal habitations.
Pawan Kalyan said horticulture development across 85,000 acres had benefited around 83,000 farmers and highlighted ongoing efforts to improve roads, mobile connectivity, drinking water and healthcare in tribal areas. He also announced an agricultural equipment support programme worth ₹68 crore, with subsidised equipment for eligible farmers. Criticising the previous YSRCP government over alleged neglect of rural roads and infrastructure, he said the present government was allocating funds for village development without political discrimination. He urged residents to monitor road quality and report local issues to officials.
