The developments came amid a strong police presence in central Delhi as opposition leaders continued their protest.
The situation reportedly intensified near the British Council area, where police used force against protesting MPs. Khammam MP Raghuram Reddy was reportedly hit during the police action. The incident has added to tensions between opposition leaders and the police during the ongoing demonstrations over electoral issues.
