Meeting of Three CMs Ahead of Tungabhadra Gate Inauguration

Before the inauguration of the new gates of the Tungabhadra Dam project, a courtesy meeting was held at the IRB guest house in Hospet. N. Chandrababu Naidu, Revanth Reddy, D. K. Shivakumar, and Union Minister C. R. Patil participated in the meeting. Ministers Payyavula Keshav and Nimmala Rama Naidu also attended.

Later, the three Chief Ministers reached the Tungabhadra Dam site to inaugurate the new gates. The 19th gate of the dam was washed away in the 2024 August floods, prompting expert recommendations to replace all gates. Officials have now installed 33 new gates at a cost of ₹51 crore, marking a major restoration effort for the project.
