

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has strongly condemned the attack on Deputy Speaker Raghu Ramakrishna Raju and alliance leaders during a religious event in Undi constituency, Akiveedu municipality. The incident reportedly occurred when the Deputy Speaker was visiting a historic Ram temple to offer prayers on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami. The Chief Minister termed the attack, allegedly carried out by a group of individuals with outside support, as highly objectionable and unfortunate.
He further stated that the Deputy Speaker had taken initiative for the restoration of a long-neglected temple, and such violent behavior during a sacred festival is unacceptable. The Chief Minister also expressed concern over injuries sustained by some individuals in the incident and said that strict action will be taken against anyone disturbing law and order in the state. He reiterated that maintaining peace and communal harmony is the government’s priority.
