Yash’s Toxic Faces a Massive OTT Price Drop

Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic is reportedly witnessing a significant change in its OTT business following its theatrical performance. The Geetu Mohandas directorial, which was released amid high expectations, reportedly received an OTT proposal of around ₹150 crore before its theatrical release. However, the makers are said to have turned down the offer while seeking a substantially higher valuation, expecting the film’s box-office performance to strengthen its post-theatrical business.

Following the film’s disappointing theatrical run, reports indicate that the value of its digital rights has fallen sharply, with offers reportedly coming down to around ₹30 crore. ZEE5 has emerged as the platform associated with the latest OTT deal, although some earlier reports had described the rights as still under negotiation. The film is now widely reported to be heading for a September 25 digital premiere.
