Movies generally experience a decline in theatrical footfall once they become available on OTT platforms, as audiences get the option of watching them at home. Ravi Teja’s Irumudi, however, is reportedly showing a different trend in some parts of the Telugu states. The film has completed 38 days in theatres, while its Netflix streaming run has also crossed 10 days. Despite its OTT availability, reports indicate that several theatres are continuing to attract audiences, particularly during weekends.
An example has emerged from SV Cinemas in Hindupur, where a Sunday first show reportedly witnessed strong attendance from family audiences even after the film had completed 38 days in theatres. The show was said to have reached a houseful situation, highlighting the continued interest among some sections of viewers. Trade discussions have also linked the film’s family-oriented appeal to its sustained theatrical presence. At the same time, the A certificate and violent content of The Paradise may have influenced the choices of some family audiences in certain locations. However, this remains dependent on local audience preferences, theatre availability and individual market conditions.
