

Mayors and Deputy Mayors have assumed office in seven major municipal corporations in Telangana. In Karimnagar, Kolagani Srinivas (BJP) was elected Mayor, while Sunil Rao (BJP) became Deputy Mayor. In Nizamabad, Umarani (Congress) was elected Mayor, and Salma Tahseen (MIM) as Deputy Mayor.
In Ramagundam, Kothagudem, and Nalgonda corporations, Mayors and Deputy Mayors were elected from Congress and CPI. Ramagundam elected Mahankali Swami (Congress) as Mayor and Patipelli Ellayya (Congress) as Deputy Mayor. Kothagudem chose Mood Ganesh (CPI) as Mayor and Siripurapu Lalitha Kumari (Congress) as Deputy Mayor. In Nalgonda, Murri Chaitanya Srinivas Reddy (Congress) is Mayor, and Mohammad Ashraf Ali Amar as Deputy Mayor.
In Mahbubnagar and Mancherial, both leaders are from Congress. Mahbubnagar elected Gumal Mamatha as Mayor and Surender Reddy as Deputy Mayor, while Mancherial chose Madhukar as Mayor and Ramya Mahesh as Deputy Mayor. These elections reflect the political representation and party alignments in Telangana’s local governance.
