Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said the Union Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently delivered on what it promises over the last 12 years. Addressing the media at the BJP State Office in Hyderabad, he said the latest Union Budget has been designed to benefit all sections of society, breaking the perception that budgets are meant only for freebies or electoral gains. He described the budget as another decisive step towards building a Viksit Bharat by 2047, with a strong focus on employment generation, rural development, investments, research, and sustainable growth.
Highlighting Telangana-specific benefits, Kishan Reddy said Hyderabad has emerged as a “Hub of Hubs,” encompassing IT, education, digital infrastructure, data centres, medical and semiconductor sectors. He noted that MSMEs across the country, including 23 lakh units in Telangana, would gain significantly from budget incentives. He also emphasised the ₹10,000-crore BioPharma SHAKTI initiative for the next five years, which will strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a global biopharma manufacturing hub. Additional allocations for housing schemes, national highways, research institutions, data centres, textiles, fertiliser subsidies, and women’s hostels reflect the Centre’s commitment to holistic national development, he added.
