Telangana to Become Maoist Free State Soon... DGP Shivadhar Reddy

Telangana is set to become a Maoist-free state soon, according to Director General of Police Shivadhar Reddy. He stated that only 17 Maoists belonging to Telangana are currently active, and the police possess complete profiles of all of them. The list includes members of the Central Committee, State Committee, and Divisional Committee, with one operative remaining underground. Police officials said that if all 17 surrender, Telangana will officially be declared Maoist-free. Efforts are being intensified to achieve this goal before the completion of Operation Kagar.

A total reward of ₹2.25 crore has been announced on these 17 senior Maoist leaders. The Central Committee members named in the list include Muppala Lakshman Rao alias Ganapathi, Tippiri Tirupati alias Dev G, Mallaraji Reddy alias Sangram, and Pasunuri Narahari alias Santosh. Officials also revealed that five women Maoists are among the 17. DGP Shivadhar Reddy has appealed to the remaining Maoists to surrender and join the mainstream.
