ISRO successfully launched its PSLV-C62 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, marking another major achievement for India’s space programme. The mission carried the 1,485-kg Earth Observation Satellite EOS-N1, officially named ‘Anvesha’, along with 15 additional satellites, and precisely placed them into their designated orbits. The flawless launch highlights ISRO’s growing expertise in multi-satellite deployment missions.
Equipped with advanced hyperspectral technology, the ‘Anvesha’ EOS-N1 satellite will enable highly detailed observation of the Earth’s surface. It is expected to play a crucial role in border surveillance, strategic intelligence gathering, defence applications, and disaster management. The satellite will also support environmental monitoring and resource assessment, strengthening India’s capabilities in space-based observation and national security.
