With increased allocations for the education sector in the Union Budget, the state is set to receive higher funding for this sector. In particular, Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are expected to receive opportunities for further development.
Currently, the state has 35 KVs. The Union Government has recently approved the establishment of new KVs in Kothagudem, Mulugu, Jagitial and Wanaparthy districts. Similarly, out of the existing 9 JNVs, an additional 7 JNVs have been sanctioned by the government. Furthermore, the Budget has proposed the establishment of 5 University Townships across the country, with one potentially allocated to Telangana.
