The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has taken several important decisions in its latest meeting. One major decision is to allow free bus travel for persons with disabilities who hold valid certificates on APSRTC buses. This move is expected to make daily travel easier and more affordable for disabled citizens across the state.
The Cabinet also approved the creation of a new Science, Technology and Innovation department. In addition, approval was given to set up a semiconductor industry in Visakhapatnam with an investment of ₹2,387 crore. These steps aim to boost industrial growth and create new job opportunities in the state.
Further, several tourism and renewable energy projects across Andhra Pradesh received clearance. The government also expressed serious concern over incidents related to adulterated milk and diarrhea cases and directed officials to take strict action against those responsible. These decisions highlight the government’s focus on public welfare, health and development.
