Malayalam cinema’s senior star Mohanlal has a special place in the industry, and both his son Pranav Mohanlal and daughter Vismaya Mohanlal have followed him onto the big screen. While Pranav made an impact with the horror film Dies Irae last year, Vismaya made her acting debut this year with Thudakkam, an action-survival thriller directed by Jude Antony Joseph. The film has reportedly received a positive response from audiences in Kerala as well as overseas markets.

According to trade reports, Thudakkam is making steady progress at the Kerala box office. The film is said to have earned around ₹15 crore gross from Kerala in just six days, while overseas markets reportedly contributed another ₹15 crore. This takes its estimated worldwide gross beyond ₹30 crore within six days. The strong opening for Vismaya’s debut has generated considerable interest, and the film’s performance in the coming days will determine how far its theatrical run can go.
