Jailer 2 Promotions Take a Surprising Turn.. What’s the Strategy?

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is one of the most awaited upcoming sequels. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on October 15, but the promotional strategy adopted by the makers has become a talking point. In the first instalment, the team generated significant excitement with high-energy promotional material, including the popular mass anthem Hukum composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

For Jailer 2, however, the promotional campaign has started on a different note. The makers have introduced softer and more melodic tracks such as Ala Bolelo and One Sun One Moon. While some fans were expecting a high-voltage mass song that matches Rajinikanth’s larger-than-life image, the initial tracks have not created the same level of excitement among sections of the audience. There is speculation that the team may be deliberately saving its major mass songs, trailer and other surprises for the final phase of promotions. With around three weeks remaining before the theatrical release, attention is now on what the makers will unveil next.
