‘Dragon’ Glimpse Unveils NTR’s Intense New Avatar; Prashanth Neel Explains the Strategy!

The much-awaited promotional glimpse of Dragon featuring Jr NTR has created massive excitement among fans. Released on the occasion of NTR’s birthday, the four-minute-long video introduced the film’s characters and story world while maintaining high intensity throughout. Director Prashanth Neel revealed that unveiling the story in advance was a deliberate strategy. In an interview, he explained that modern audiences are interested in understanding the world of a film even before entering theatres. He added that Hollywood films are also increasingly introducing story universes during promotions, and the “Dragon” glimpse was designed with a similar approach. Prashanth Neel also stated that accepting this film was one of the toughest decisions in NTR’s career because of the dark and antagonist-shaded character named “Luger.”

According to the filmmaker, the role played by Jr NTR is expected to become one of the most expensive antagonist-style characters ever seen in Indian cinema. Actress Rukmini Vasanth stars opposite NTR in the film, which is scheduled for release on June 11 next year. Meanwhile, Jr NTR also delighted fans on social media by introducing his pet macaw birds named “Asahi” and “Yuuhi.” Sharing photos on Instagram, the actor mentioned that the names reflect his deep admiration for Japan, where his films continue to enjoy immense popularity.
