Bollywood senior actress Preity Zinta is set to make her comeback after eight years with the period drama Batwara 1947. She stars alongside Sunny Deol in the film, which is based on the backdrop of India’s 1947 partition. The movie is directed by veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan under his production banner. With the film slated for release on August 14, promotional activities have picked up pace. However, a video from the shoot recently went viral, sparking controversy. In the clip, Preity was seen exiting her vanity van and asking photographers to make way, while seemingly ignoring Aamir Khan.
The video led to speculation that Preity Zinta deliberately avoided Aamir Khan, triggering negative reports online. Responding strongly to the rumours, Preity clarified that such false narratives were being spread merely for views and clicks. She explained that she was in a hurry to complete shooting and catch a flight for promotions, which is why she did not notice Aamir at that moment. She also warned that if such misleading coverage continues, she may stop posing for photographs altogether. Emphasizing her admiration, Preity stated that she holds immense respect and affection for Aamir Khan and urged people not to believe baseless rumours.
