Bollywood star Ranveer Singh headlines the high-octane action entertainer “Dhurandar: The Revenge”, directed by ‘Uri’ fame Aditya Dhar. The film will greet audiences tomorrow evening (March 18) through special paid previews. Advance bookings have already broken records, and trade analysts estimate that the film is likely to gross over ₹200 crore worldwide on its first day. While films typically release on Thursday or Friday, the makers have started previews on Wednesday, capitalizing on the massive buzz surrounding ‘Dhurandar 2’. Remarkably, the film has already earned over ₹40 crore through previews alone, setting a new record for the highest paid preview collections in Bollywood history.
The film has been certified ‘A’ by the censor board due to its high-voltage action sequences and intense emotional content. With a runtime of 3 hours and 52 minutes, it ranks among the longest films in Indian cinema. Despite its extended duration, the makers assert that Aditya Dhar has crafted an engaging screenplay that keeps the audience hooked throughout.
Jointly produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles. Shashwat Sachdev’s background score adds a major attraction to the movie. Released in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil, this film serves as a sequel to the 2025 original installment. As a grand spy thriller, expectations are high to see it set new benchmarks at the box office.
