Salman Khan’s upcoming film Matrubhumi is reportedly encountering delays in receiving its final certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to industry reports, the makers have already incorporated the modifications suggested by the board, but the film is still awaiting official clearance. Since the story is based on sensitive national security themes, every sequence is said to be undergoing detailed scrutiny before approval.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film also features Chitrangada Singh in a key role. Initially planned for a summer release and later postponed to August, the movie may face further scheduling changes if the certification process continues. The delay could also affect promotional activities and theatrical planning. However, the filmmakers have not issued any official statement regarding the release date, while fans continue to await confirmation.
