The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has written to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Andhra Pradesh, alleging irregularities in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of electoral rolls. In the letter, YSRCP General Secretary Lella Appi Reddy claimed that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at the field level had submitted reports stating that enumeration forms were distributed to voters, even though many voters had reportedly not received them.
The party also pointed out that as of July 1, only 30.90% of the digitisation process had been completed. According to the letter, the revision process is progressing slowly in several Assembly constituencies, including Kadapa, Anantapur Urban, and Vijayawada West. YSRCP urged the Chief Electoral Officer to order an inquiry into the alleged false reports and ensure that the electoral rolls are prepared in a transparent and fair manner.
